Club 64
Located in the Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center is Club '64. Named after the Class of 1964, which donated the funds to build the Knoerle Center, Club '64 is a fitness center featuring cardiovascular equipment, strength equipment, functional athletic training and free wifi. Â
Cardio Equipment
We believe in providing the best possible equipment for our users. That is why the cardio selection includes LifeFitness treadmills with a built-in personal trainer, television screen and cooling fan. In addition, we offer LifeCycle GX Indoor Cycles for members looking for a high-intensity cardio session. Also available are LifeFtiness ellipticals, recumbent bikes, upright bikes, power mills, cross trainers, and Jacob's ladders, to satisfy a wide variety of workout preferences.
Strength Equipment
An expansive selection of strength training equipment with no limits is the staple of any good fitness club. That is why Club '64 offers Iron Grip dumbbells as heavy as 100 pounds, benches and bars at 24MM and 25MM, Olympic power racks with competition bumper plates and Hammer Strength and LifeFitness machines with multiple configurations to suit any user. Everything we offer has been placed in our facility with one goal in mind — to give every individual the best opportunity to reach their goals and see results.
Functional Athletic Training
We want you to push your limits, whether you are training for a particular sport or just life in general, so we have dedicated space of our facility to functional training equipment. Specifically, equipment such as plyometric boxes, battle ropes, kettlebells and medicine/Bosu balls, all to train for a variety of sports and activities. For post-workout recovery and myofascial tissue release, we have foam rollers and resistance bands.
Free WiFi
Don't have time to download your favorite songs or videos? Running low on your data plan? No problem! WiFi is conveniently available for our members free of charge so they can stream music and media content while they workout.

Usage Policy
Club '64 is open to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College employees and students. Spouses/partners living in the same household as an employee may apply for membership to Club '64 with the SMWC Business Office located in Guerin Hall Room 233. Applicants must fill out an application and then turn it into the business office. After the application has been approved, a photo ID card will be issued allowing admittance.Â
Club '64 Rules and Regulations
- A valid ID is required to use the facility.
- A towel is required for all users.
- Athletic apparel including athletic shorts, sweats, t-shirts, or other workout gear must be worn.
- No street clothes (jeans, shorts with belts, buttons, belt loops, etc.) are permitted.
- Closed-toe athletic shoes are permitted in Club '64.
- No street shoes, sandals, flip-flops, open-toe, or open-heel shoes.
- Please wipe off shoes before using the facility
- Audio media outlets may be used with headphones only.
- Club '64 is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Equipment must be utilized as designed and in the designated space. Weight stations may not be altered in any manner inconsistent with their design.
- Users must rerack their weights.
- Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts while the machine is in use.
- Never put hands or feet underweight stacks. Place hands and feet only on the handgrips and footpads provided.
- Do NOT operate the equipment if it has loose or damaged parts. Report repair needs to the staff. Do not attempt to make the repair yourself.
- Do NOT drop weight stacks, plates, dumbbells, or other free weight equipment.
- Please wipe down each piece of equipment before you leave that station.
- Only plastic or metal bottles are permitted in Club '64. No glass.
- Food is not permitted in Club '64.Â
- Users who break fitness equipment through misuse or misconduct will be suspended from the facility. The user will be held responsible for the cost of repairs.
- Profane or indecent language is discouraged. Such language which is directed at employees or deemed offensive to other users will not be permitted.
- Book bags, gym bags, etc., must be left in the locker room.Â
- If you wish to use a locker to secure your items, you must provide the lock.
- Club '64 operates on an "exercise at your own risk" policy.
