BATAVIA, Ohio – The SMWC Women's Basketball bounced back from last Saturday's loss with a 73-66 win over UC-Clermont this evening. The team was led by
Sydney Ingram who totaled 16 points and
Allyson Hardiek who scored 13 while recording 11 rebounds, an assist, 2 blocks, and a steal.
By the Numbers
- Ingram paced the team with 16 points scored, followed by Destiny Thomas with 15, Aliyah Williams with 14, and Hardiek with 13.
- Hardiek's 11 rebounds gave her a double-double on the night and her 4th of the season. She was followed by Avalee Jeffers with 9.
- The team shot just 45.6% on the evening and 31.8% from deep. They would get plenty of chances at the line, shooting 70% on 14-20.
- The Pomeroys lost the turnover battle 29-17 and committed 20 fouls to UC-Clermont's 16.
- SMWC held the Cougars to 35.2% shooting despite their 71 field goal attempts.
Next Up
The Women's team will play in their final game of the semester when they travel to St. Louis, Missouri and play Principia University on New Year's Eve. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET.
