The Pomeroys met up with the Trailblazers of Ohio Christian University to wrap up the regular season. The Pomeroys needed a victory as well as Oakland City to lose their match so the Pomeroys could clinch the sixth and final spot for the conference tournament.
The Pomeroys accomplished their job, defeating the Trailblazers 4-0. Miguel Fils-Aime scored a hat trick of goals and Marwan Jamoussi scored the team's other goal in the match.
Marcus Massop and
Hamza Zagmouzi each had an assist during the match. These were Fils-Aime's three total goals on the season. Jamoussi scored his first goal of the season today. Massop got his second assist on the year and Zagmouzi earned his third assist of the season.
"The guys played well and it's good to end the season with a 4-0 win," said Head Coach Abe Tizaf, "They controlled the game and enjoyed every second of it."
The Pomeroys miss out on making the conference tournament as Oakland City won their match as well today, keeping the Pomeroys in seventh place by a difference of just two points. The Pomeroys finish the season 4-6 overall and 4-5 in conference play.
