Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (7-3) shot 64 percent in the second half on its way to a 84-77 women's college basketball victory Friday at Miami (Ohio) Middletown.
Sophomore
Abby Worley (Greenfield, Ind./Mount Vernon) and
Brooklynn Jones (Loogootee, Ind./Loogootee) had 15 points apiece to lead the Pomeroys. Worley posted a double-double with 10 rebounds to go with a team-high four assists.
Freshman Abbi Parker (Tipton, Ind./Tipton) reached double figures with 10 points and led the team with two steals.Â
Savvanah Frye led the SMWC reserves with nine points.
Kylee Stepp (West Terre Haute, Ind./West Vigo) added eight points and
Avalee Jeffers (Cory, Ind./Clay City) scored seven.Â
Allyson Hardiek (Altamont, Ill./Altamont) had 10 rebounds.
SMWC returns to action Tuesday at home against Brescia.Â
