The Pomeroys will travel to Oakland City Saturday to face off against the Mighty Oaks. The Pomeroys are 6-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play heading into Saturday's matchup while the Mighty Oaks are 9-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play and they are receiving votes in the National NAIA Rankings.
The Pomeroys will look to have a rebound performance from their last game, a 77-44 loss at home against Midway last Saturday. The Pomeroys will look to continue to lean on the scoring of Brooklyn Jones who is averaging 14.83 ppg in her last six contests. Another player the Pomeroys will lean on is
Abby Worley who is averaging 9.4 ppg and 5.4 assists per game. The defense will need to continue their strong performance as well with only giving up 64 points a game.
The Mighty Oaks are coming into the game scoring 79.7 ppg while giving up 70.3 ppg. The Mighty Oaks have three players currently averaging over 10 ppg. The Mighty Oaks' defense is forcing 22.8 turnovers a game and only allowing opponents to have 15.8 assists per game.
The Pomeroys will look to get back to .500 in conference play will also getting a big win against a team getting national votes in the NAIA rankings with tipoff scheduled for 2:00 pm ET on Saturday in Oakland City.
