SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The SMWC Women's Basketball team (11-11, 5-10) suffered a tough loss to Oakland City this evening 76-88 after a back-and-forth affair. The team led by as much as 10 in the 2nd quarter and even held Oakland City to a 58-58 tie heading into the fourth quarter, but the Trailblazers would go on a 9-0 run to start the quarter and never looked back. The loss drops the team to an even record on the season and 6-10 in the RSC. SMWC currently sits at #4 in the USCAA coaches ranking as they seek a chance to attend the National Tournament. Brooklynn Jones led the way with 19 points, followed by Avalee Jeffers with 16.

- Jones led the team with 19 points while Jeffers' 16 points and 10 rebounds earned her another double-double.
- The Pomeroys started hot, shooting 50% in the first quarter, but their 26.7% shooting in the 4th allowed OCU to pull away.
- Oakland City's Taylor Dillard finished the game with 24 points while Emilee Hope poured in 19.
