Sierra Mullins made a determined effort to even the score in the 38th minute, but Rose-Hulman pulled away for a 5-1 victory with four second-half goals Tuesday.
SMWC (1-1-1) suffered its first loss as Camille Clark put the Engineers ahead 2-1 in the 65th minute and Sarah Shoemaker scored goals in the 83rd and 84th minutes to put the match away.
