The Pomeroys almost let the opening set slip away. After taking a 21-17 lead, Brescia rallied with six straight points to take the lead.

Brescia responded with a kill by McKiah Shearer. But Davis delivered another smash and
Amber Doyle put the set away for the 28-26 momentum-building win.
"It was a full energy kind of moment," said Zeuge, who had a team-high 10 kills. "We all had full commitment to every single play. We were playing as a unit. We were having each other's back, whether it was in coverage or just energy overall we were supportive and we stayed as a unit all the way through."
SMWCÂ continued to elevate its play in the second set.
Amari Morales keyed a four-point run by SMWC with two service aces as SMWC pulled ahead 14-7.
It was a balanced offensive effort for the Pomeroys. Zuege had a solid .296 hitting percentage. Davis had a .350 hitting mark with nine kills. Doyle added seven kills.
"We've got a lot of talent on this team and it shows every single night," Zuege said. "There's nobody that we have to doubt to take care of the ball."

Amari Morales and and
Jocelyn Chavez added three aces apiece.
Jocelyn Chavez led the defensive effort with nine digs. Bailey came up with some key digs as well and finished with nine.
