Pomeroys come through for clutch road win

Box Score LOUISVILLE, KY. -- Abbi Parker hit a clutch 3-pointer in overtime to break the tie and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods rolled the remainder of the overtime to pick up a 64-56 victory at Simmons College (Ky.) on Tuesday night. 
SMWC held Simmons without a field goal in the extra period and held the Falcons to 30 percent shooting on the night, while also forcing 17 turnovers. 
The freshman tied for team-high honors with Brionna Sims with 14 points for the Pomeroys (10-5). They were joined in double figures by Brooklynn Jones (12) and Avalee Jeffers (10). 
Jeffers posted a double-double with a season-high 15 rebounds -- one shy of her career-high of 16 -- while also contributing her usual defensive prowess with three steals and two blocked shots. 
Jones also had a double-double with a career-high 14 rebounds.
