The SMWC women's soccer team fell to 1-2-2 in River States Conference action, falling 1-0 to IU Kokomo on Thursday, with the Cougars' lone goal coming on a penalty kick in the final minute of the first half.
IU Kokomo (7-3-4, 5-0-1 RSC) had just six shots on goal, and SMWC had eight throughout the 90 minutes.
Claire Donald and
Kennedy Trigg had two shots on goal apiece, while
Paige Chickadaunce,
Sierra Mullins,
Chloe Field and
Sierra Mullins each had one.
Kaylee Thaler had five saves and got a hand on the PK attempt by the Cougars.
SMWC currently sits in ninth place with five RSC matchups remaining. The Pomeroys return to action Saturday against Ohio Christian.
