Claire Donald scored in the 51st minute to even the score at 1-1 at host Rio Grande on Saturday, but SMWC allowed the go-ahead goal 13 minutes later, seeing their season end with a 2-1 loss in the River States Conference tournament quarterfinals.
The Pomeroys put just two shots on goal in the 90 minutes, while Rio Grande had six. SMWC had five shots total, with
Kennedy Trigg taking two, senior Abby Scott one,
Carley Balas one.
The Pomeroys' season ends with a 5-7-5 overall record and 4-3-3 in the RSC.
