The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods men's volleyball team got off to a strong start and went Pomeroys went on to take the match 3-1 (25-14, 19-25, 25-18, 25-22).
The Pomeroys (3-22) got 13 kills from
Julian Green.
Connor Orrock stuffed the stat sheet with 24 assists, chipping in six kills, three aces and eight digs.
Jonathan Teo added seven kills
Jammiel Martinez had three solo blocks - two coming in the fourth set -- and three aces.
Christian Green added five kills, three aces and four digs. His three kills in the fourth set led the team.
The Pomeroys had a .230 hitting percentage as a team and held Rockford to a .094 mark.
