GAME 1
Emily Singleton had a pair of hits and
Lanna Martinez pitched well, but Ottawa rallied with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 3-2 victory against SMWC.
GAME 2
Summer Rocha held the Oklahoma Panhandle State offense in check, scattering six hits, and the top of the Pomeroys' lineup did the heavy lifting.
"Summer pitched well. She scattered six hits. When she attacks the strike zone, she is really hard to beat," coach Jim Walker said. "She gets in trouble when she is trying to be too fine and gets behind in the count."
Camryn Scott went 2 for 3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Jasey Conn went 2 for 3 with three RBIs.
Ashley Shanks and
Lyric Krause added two hits apiece.
"Offensively, we were able to get a couple key hits. Jasey hit the ball hard today and had a really big hit late to get us a couple insurane runs," Walker said.
The Pomeroys return to action today against Benedectine and Bethel.
