SAINT LOUIS - Harris-Stowe State improved to 4-0, holding off Saint Mary-of-the-Woods by a score of 3-2 in women's college soccer action Tuesday.
The Pomeroys (1-2) and Hornets played to a scoreless tie in the first half, with the home team outshooting the Pomeroys 10-4 in the opening 45 minutes.
Emily Roos broke through five minutes into the second half for the first of two goals. Harris Stowe extended its lead to 3-0 before
Kennedy Trigg broke through in the 75th minute for SMWC.
Trigg added a second goal on a penalty kick in the 89th minute.
SMWC totaled 10 shots, with four shots on goal in the game.
Kaylee Thaler had four saves for the Pomeroys.
