ADA, Mich. --- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's golf team competed in the first two rounds of the Egypt Valley Intercollegiate on Monday (Oct. 7) at the Egypt Valley Country Club.
While the Pomeroys are in ninth place as a team in the event with rounds of 342 and 345 for a total of 687,
Brevin Cooper enjoyed a strong day on the links with rounds of 79 and 86 for a total of 165 which finds him a tie for 19th place.Â
Chase Nuckols posted rounds of 84 and 85 for a total of 169 which is tied for 32nd place.
Nolan Allen came out with a round of 89 and returned in the afternoon who posted an 83 for a total of 172 and a tie for 38th place.
Grant Schlue carded rounds of 91 and 82 for a total of 173 which is 43rd.
Colby Beckwith posted rounds of 88 and 86 for a total of 174 which is 44th. Ben Goshen's rounds of 88 and 97 gave him a two rounds score of 185 which is in a tie for 49th place.
Host Taylor posted rounds of 324 and 307 for a total of 631 which leads the event. The Pomeroys will be chasing Saint Francis (Ind.) who are two strokes ahead of SMWC with a score of 685.
The third and final round is set for Tuesday, October 8 which begins with a shotgun start at 9 am (ET).
