SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods men's volleyball could not pick off a set against visiting Mount Vernon Nazarene but hung tough throughout before falling 3-0 (25-19. 25-17, 25-16).
The Pomeroys dropped to 13-9, 2-7 WHAC while the Cougars improved to 11-5, 7-4 WHAC.
Leading the way for SMWC in kills was
Manase Fetulimoeata with eight kills while
Bentley Meyer and
Andrej Lindner added three.
Ethan Martins and
Marko Zolnjan each recorded a service ace.
Yammiel Martinez added three blocks while
Christian Green and Zolnjan each had a pair.
Jacob Wisniewski led the way in set assists with 11 each while Lindner,
Josh Stembridge and
Brycen Yadao added three digs each.
The Pomeroys are back in action and take on Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Mount Vernon Nazarine University (Ohio) on Saturday, March 16 inside the Knoerle Center. First serve is set for 3 pm (ET). Admission to the match is FREE!
