Head Men's Soccer Coach | June 2017 - Present
Abdessamad “Abe” Tizaf was hired as the Head Men's Soccer Coach on June 1, 2017.
He began an era of the first-ever scholarship men's soccer program in Pomeroy history.
Professional Experience
Prior to coming to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Tizaf was the head boys soccer coach at Terre Haute South High School, where he led the team to a sectional championship in 2015. He served as the Assistant Coach at Flyers boys soccer club in Terre Haute, Ind.
Abe also played 120 games professionally for KACM in Marrakech, Morocco, as a member of their senior league. He is a member of the Faith-Based Coaches Strategy Team, which focuses on developing the role soccer plays in one’s faith journey. United Soccer Coaches Association.
In 2008, Tizaf earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Pascal Paoli University.
In 2014, he earned his Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Management from Indiana State University.
In 2016, he earned his Master of Science in Physical Education from Indiana State University.
In 2020, he earned his Master of Leadership Development from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Personal
Abe is happily married to his wife and has one son.
