In her first season with the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College softball program as a volunteer assistant coach is Christina Haymaker-Buell. Buell will work with the Pomeroy slappers and outfielders.

Hailing from Clay City, Ind,, Christina Haymaker-Buell brings a wealth of experience and passion to the SMWC softball program. A former four-year varsity starter, Christina excelled as an all-state and all-conference center fielder, specializing in slapping and bunting as a lead-off lefty. Her dedication to the game was evident during her time with the Indiana Magic Lafayette and Indiana Terror Terre Haute travel teams.
 
With over a decade of coaching experience, much of it dedicated to coaching her daughter Baylee, Christina has made a significant impact on the local softball community. She has also served on the board for a local youth league, further demonstrating her commitment to the sport.
 
Christina studied Human Resource Development at Indiana State University and currently works as an HR Coordinator at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She resides in Clay City with her daughter Baylee and son Cooper.
 
Inspired by the profound influence of her high school coach, who was pivotal in her development as both a player and a person, Christina strives to provide the same guidance and support to her players. She is excited to contribute to the SMWC softball program and looks forward to fostering growth and excellence on and off the field.
