In her first season as the graduate assistant for the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Athletic Training Department is Kristy Cardenas.
Cardenas is currently a doctoral student at Indiana State University in Athletic Training while she works for two years for SMWC. Prior to this opportunity, Cardenas was a intern for the University of Florida Football program as an athletic trainer.
She has also worked for the Florida Wrestling Championship as well as local high schools with their football program and during the 2022 season with the Barry University baseball team.
Cardenas graduated in 2024 from Barry University a degree in Athletic Training.
