Saint Mary-of-the-Woods

In his first season as an assistant softball coach for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is Phillip Stockton.

Coach Phillip (P) is a dedicated and experienced coach based in Middle Tennessee, with deep roots in the local sports community. Growing up in Goodlettsville, he played travel baseball at the national level until 1999, which laid the foundation for his future coaching career. He began coaching travel baseball in 2001 and, after a brief hiatus to focus on his growing family, resumed coaching in 2017, this time in softball.

Currently, Coach P leads the 16u softball team with the Firestorm organization in Franklin, KY. His coaching philosophy centers on mastering defensive fundamentals and mechanics while fostering a supportive environment that encourages players to develop and thrive without fear of failure.

Outside of coaching, Coach P is happily married to Brandi Stockton since 2010. He has five wonderful children: Evelyn, Rebecca, McKinlee, Jameson, and Nolan, as well as a grandson, Oliver. His commitment to both his family and his players reflects his passion for mentorship and development on and off the field.
