Box Score SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's basketball team fell to Lindsey Wilson on Wednesday night in Hamilton Arena, 128-79. The Pomeroys now sit at 10-11 with six regular season games left.
Senior Shelby Parmer led the Pomeroys in points with 21, while junior Ja'Breena Gardner added 11 and senior Sierra Lopez chipped in 10. Sophomore Tara Parmer and junior Na-Shaunda Rayford each grabbed a team-high six rebounds. S. Parmer also led the Pomeroys with five assists and four steals.
The Pomeroys fell behind early and couldn't overcome a hot shooting Blue Raiders squad that shot 60 percent from the field (52-of-87) and 46 percent (13-of-28) from three-point land. SMWC shot 35 percent (33-of-95) and 23 percent (10-of-44) in comparison.
The Pomeroys biggest offensive production came in the third quarter with 27 points with S. Parmer scoring 11 of her 21. Lopez also went a perfect 3-for-3 to add six points in the third.
The Pomeroys will be back in action on February 7 when they head to Fontbonne for a 1 p.m. tip.
