Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. -- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's basketball team battled Brescia University tonight in the Moore Center, at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Pomeroys were defeated for the second time this season by the Bearcats, falling 105-90.
Game Flow
Despite the scoring efforts of the Pomeroys, who had six different player's tally points, they trailed 26-19 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, SMWC shot 100% from the free throw line and was able to cut the lead 42-41. By the conclusion of the third quarter, the Bearcats opened-up offensively after they shot 69.6% from the field. This contributed to a 78-61 lead. SMWC lost 105-90, despite winning the turnover margin and knocking down 19-24 free throws.
