Box Score SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind.-- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's basketball team battled against Cincinnati Christian University today at 2:00 p.m. The Pomeroys lost to the Eagles 93-66, which marked their eighth loss of the season.
Game Flow
Despite the scoring efforts of the Pomeroys, who had 12 different player's tally points, they trailed 25-13 at the conclusion of the first quarter. In the second quarter, SMWC shot 50% from beyond the arc but could not stop the Eagles offensive attack. By halftime, SMWC found themselves down 50-29. The Pomeroy's struggled to box out and rebound which led to CCU out-rebounding SMWC 52-37. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Woods was down by the score 76-51. Defensively, the Pomeroys forced 20 total turnovers and grabbed 10 steals. However, CCU won the contest 93-66.
