Men’s Basketball Drops 12th Straight in Loss to Midway

MIDWAY, Ken. – The SMWC Men's Basketball suffered defeat to Midway University this afternoon 67-99. The Pomeroys sit at a 1-13 record this season and 0-6 in the RSC as they search for their second win of the inaugural season. The team was led in scoring by Jadyn McHugh with 15 points and Elkin Ramirez-Vazquez with 14 points.
By the Numbers
  • Jadyn led the team in scoring for the 5th straight game with 15 points. He was followed closely by Elkin with 14 points and Jamarius Evans with 10 to round out the double-digit scorers.
  • Big man Damon Ogletree again led the team in rebounds with 8 while also adding 8 points. He was followed by Elkin who pulled down 5 rebounds for SMWC.
  • McHugh also led the team in assists with 5. The team finished with just 14 assists total for the game.
  • The Pomeroys shot 45% (27-60) on the day while going a respectable 50% (6-12) from behind the arc. The men would shoot 58.3% (7-12) from the line.
