Box Score SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) women's basketball team (0-8) were defeated by Oakland City University (7-14) this evening for their 8th straight loss of the season. Despite strong performances from Margaret Reimer (16 pts., 4 reb.) and Delaney Kendall (11 pts., 1 reb., 4 ast., 2 stl.), the team began to fall apart in the 2nd half to fall 78-38. The team will look for their first win of the season next week when they travel to face Lincoln Christian University in their final game of the season.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College
- Maggie Reimer led the Pomeroys with 16 points scored while also adding 4 rebounds and a block. She was followed in scoring by Delaney Kendall (11 pts.).
- Avalee Jeffers had a rough scoring night with only 4 points, but managed 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a blocked shot.
- Shooting just 32.5% (13-40) on the night prevented SMWC from making any kind of dent and the traditionally high-attempting 3-point team went just 1-4 from behind the arc. 64.7% (11-17) free throw shooting was less than ideal.
- The Pomeroys threw the ball away 33 times compared to just 16 by the Mighty Oaks and SMWC found themselves out-rebounded (30 to 43) as they struggled defensively.
Oakland City University
- Oakland City was led by Emilee Hope (19 pts., 4 reb., 4 ast., 4 stl.) and she was followed by Reanne Kietlinski (10 pts.) as the only double-digit scorers for OCU.
- Rashida Cheddick pulled down 14 rebounds for the Mighty Oaks, leading the team.
- Despite having tough percentages themselves, 40.8% from the floor, 29.6% 3PT, 70.6% free throw shooting, Oakland City took nearly twice as many shots as SMWC and attempted 27 3-point shots.
