SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) women's volleyball team (5-3) defeated the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City University (OCU) 3-1 Tuesday night in the first River States Conference match in program history. The Pomeroys dropped the first set, but battled back to win three straight sets to close out the match.

- Jocelyn Rivas, Hannah Zuege, and Alondra Garcia all turned in strong performances on the night; Zuege totaled 15 kills and 16 digs, Garcia also added 15 kills and 14 digs, and Rivas tallied 20 digs.
- Ariana Hernandez and Adrienne Roberts led the team in assists tonight with 18 and 14, respectively.
- The women's volleyball team has now won 3 straight games and 4 out of the last 6, and improved their record to 5-3 tonight with the win.
