MIDDLETOWN, OHIO -- Five players scored in double figures Friday as Saint Mary-of-the-Woods picked up an 88-77 victory at Miami (Ohio) Middletown's Bennett Center.
Keith Germain (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Lakeland Community College) had 20 points, connecting on 10 of 12 from the field, and chipping in six rebounds.
Elkin Ramirez (Indianapolis, Ind./Providence Cristo Rey) added 16 points, and
Tarik Dixon (Gary, Ind./Wabash Valley) and
J.R. Lumsden (Toledo, Ohio/Lakeland Community College) scored 13 apiece.
Davin Miller (Cleveland, Ohio) made 5 of 6 attempts from the field and scored 12.
The Pomeroys jumped out to a strong 49-35 lead at halftime, hitting a blistering 19 for 32 (59.4 percent) from the field and 6 of 11 from 3-point range.
Ramirez connected on 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.
Lumsden led the team with four assists and Dixon added three.
The Pomeroys (5-7) return to action Sunday with a River States Conference matchup against Brescia.
