SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The SMWC Women's Basketball team (11-9, 5-8) dropped a close one to Ohio Christian University 57-67. The loss is the team's fifth of their past six games and moves them to 5-8 in RSC play. The Pomeroys looked good and neither team led by more than 5 through most of the first half, until Ohio Christian would use an 11-2 run late in the 2nd quarter to build a strong lead. Some excellent team play would move SMWC within four at halftime. The Pomeroys would manage to keep it close until the fourth and end up falling 57-67 after another 11-3 run would balloon the Trailblazer lead and they wouldn't look back.

- Allyson Hardiek scored 16 and added 9 rebounds to lead the team. She was followed in scoring by Brooklyn Jones as the team's double-digit scorers.
- The team's shooting improved throughout the game, but missed shots and inopportune times couldn't get it done.
- Ohio Christian did a solid job of capitalizing on points off turnovers, outpacing SMWC 20-10.
