Midway pitcher Madison Ludwig tossed a shutout in the opener of Sunday's doubleheader and hit a three-run home run while tossing a second complete-game to lift the Eagles to a sweep of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods by scores of 2-0 and 7-2.
GAME 1
SMWC had seven hits in the opener but left seven runners stranded against Ludwig (10-5).
Lanna Martinez struck out seven and walked two in a complete-game effort for SMWC.
Mikayla Mills led the SMWC offense with a 2-for-3 performance.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods left 10 runners stranded as the tough day for the offense continued.
Jasmine Kinzer ended Ludwig's bid for a second straight shutout with a two-run single through the middle of the infield with two outs in the seventh.
Gracie Ables (1-2) took the loss after walking and hitting a batter prior to Ludwig's three-run home run in the first inning.
Summer Rocha tossed five shutout innings of relief before giving up three runs in the sixth.
SMWC (16-12, 6-6 RSC) hits the road to play Carlow on Wednesday and Point Park on Thursday.
