Pomeroys Take Early Lead, Fall Late At IU-East

RICHMOND, Ind. -- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's soccer team scored early, but surrendered two goals later to fall 2-1 to home standing IU-East in River States Conference action.

SMWC was the aggressor offensively in the contest holding 16-10 edge in shots, including an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal. Jamie Gayol and Marc Valderrama each posted four shots in the contest while Gayol held the team lead with a pair of shots on goal.
