PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's soccer team dropped a narrow 1-0 decision at Shawnee State on Saturday (Oct. 26) in River States Conference action.
SMWC fell to 4-10, 1-4 RSC while Shawnee State improved to 6-7-2, 3-2-1 RSC.
Harry Jackson allowed the one goal but was able to post three saves in the contest. Shawnee State recorded their only goal of the contest in the 45th minute right out of the halftime break.
The Pomeroys posted four shots in the contest including shots on goal from Jamie Gayol and Ivan Geledo. Gayol led the way with a pair of shots on the day.
SMWC returns home for their final home contest of the regular season when they host Brescia (Ky.) on October 31 at 3:30 pm (ET) inside the SMWC Soccer Complex.
