SILVIS, Ill. -- This week its time for the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golf team to tackle the TPC at Deere Run in a tournament hosted by William Penn University. The event is being held at the par-72 TPC at Deere Run which is home to many professional and top collegiate events annually.
The event will resume early Tuesday, October 15 late in the second round as play was suspended due to darkness close to the end of the second round of play.
Macie Shirk currently sits at 20th place in the event with one hole remaining. She fired an opening round of 88 and currently sits at 83. Sophia Boyll is 27nd with an opener of 93 and a comeback of an 87 for a total of 180.
Renae Jaeger posted rounds of 88 and 94 for a total of 182 which is in 29th place.
Kristin Pagach posted rounds of 101 and currently sits at 86 with two holes remaining and is currently 42nd.
Bailey Barker shot a 103 in the morning and sits at 91 with two holes left and is 46th.
The Pomeroys posted a score of 370 in Round One and currently sit at 350 in the still to be completed second round and are 9th overall. They are 10 strokes ahead of Missouri Valley College for 10th place. Indiana Wesleyan holds a 27 stroke lead over Bellvue for the overall team lead.
