The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's and women's soccer teams placed a total of seven student-athletes on the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and one moves on to the CSC Academic All-American ballot.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
For the men's team the list is led by
Taiwo Anifowose who is a graduate student from Indianapolis, Ind. He is an accounting major and will move to the CSC Academic All-American ballot and the honorees will be announced on December 10, 2024. SMWC has had four Academic All-Americans in program history. Anifowose was named a First Team All-River States Conference selection earlier this month.Â
