The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Athletics Department would like to recognize Thomas Chapman and Jocelyn Chavez for being named the Refreshment Services Pepsi Athletes Of the Month for October!

Chapman earned a pair of second place individual finishes at Rose-Hulman and the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge. During the month of October he was named the River States Conference Men's Athlete of the Week award winner. He set 8K school record at Rose-Hulman after also breaking it earlier in the season in a meet hosted by Indiana State. Chapman and the Pomeroys will travel to Evansville, Ind., on Saturday November 9 for the River States Conference Championship.

Chavez was a River States Conference Player of the Week during October and has led the Pomeroys to a 30-5 overall record with the second most wins in all levels of college volleyball. She enters the weekend heading into Friday Senior Night match against No. 11 IU-Kokomo with 1,895 career digs which is a new program record. Her 4.64 digs per set ranks third-best in the RSC.
