SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's cross country team battled against a tough field on Saturday (Sept. 7) at the Grizzly Invitational hosted by Franklin College. The race was held at a distance of 8k for all competing teams.
SMWC finished 17th in the team standings while
Thomas Chapman led the way with an 18th place finish in the individual standings. Chapman clocked in with a time of 26:06.70 to earn the Top 20 placement.
Jonathan Hayden checked in with a time of 29:50.64. Jim Frey finished in a time of 31:59.74 while Ethan Dehamer clocked in at 32:40.93 and Ethan McIntyre's time was 31:09.41.
The Pomeroys will return to action on Saturday, September 21 when they travel across town to participate in the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State. The event begins at 9 a.m. (ET) and will be held on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
