Pomeroys Battle to 0-0 Draw with OCU

SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team battled Oakland City University to a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

The Pomeroys played host to the Mighty Oaks on homecoming at SMWC and provided SMWC fans and alumnae with 110 minutes of action, as the two sides battled through two overtime periods.

It was a physical match from the first whistle to the last with four yellow cards being issued, three to OCU and one to SMWC. OCU recorded 15 shots, while the Pomeroys recorded 12. Junior Amanda Loebker led SMWC with four shots, while fellow junior Kylee White recorded two shots. A total of eight Pomeroys recorded a shot throughout the match.

Sophomore Georgie Macy recorded the shutout, as she made 10 saves.

The Pomeroys now sit at 2-8-1 on the season and will host Brescia University on Tuesday in a 4 p.m. start.
