Pomeroys Fall to Brescia, 3-1

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team fell to Brescia University on Monday, 3-1. The Pomeroys now sit at 1-10 on the year and have three contests left to finish off the 2015 season.

SMWC's offense got on the board first with a goal by junior Cami Navarra at 5:52 in the first half. Brescia then finished the first half with goals in the 28th and 35th minutes. The first half saw the Pomeroys hold a 6-3 shot advantage, yet they trailed 2-1 during the break.

Five minutes into the second half, Brescia tallied its third and final goal of the match. The Pomeroys recorded four shots in the second half compared to Brescia's five. Nine different Pomeroys recorded a shot on Monday with junior Jordan Bray leading the team with two shots.

The Pomeroys will be back in action on October 17 when they head to Illinois Tech for a 2 p.m. start.
