SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College soccer team fell in a hard fought 2-1 match with Anderson at home on Saturday. The Pomeroys are now 1-4 overall.

The Pomeroys gave up two goals in the first half before tightening up their defense to shutout the Ravens in the second half.

Senior Dulce Chavez scored SMWC's loan goal in the second half off of an assist by senior Amanda Loebker. The Pomeroys looked to make a comeback on homecoming, however, the Pomeroys wouldn't be able to find the back of the net after Chavez's goal.

The Pomeroys will be back in action on September 26, when they head to Hanover for 2:30 p.m. start time.
