Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College volleyball team fell on Wednesday night to Franklin on the road to move to 1-10 on the year.
SMWC fell to FC in three straight set (13-25, 21-25, 13-25) as they were again down to a roster of six due to injury. Sophomore Gabriella Slagle led the Pomeroys in kills with nine and block assists with two, while sophomore McKenzi Kumpf recorded 18 assists and junior Madeline Howes recorded 14 digs.
The Pomeroys will be back in action on September 23 and 24 when they head to Berea to play in the USCAA Battlefield Classic. The two-day classic will have SMWC playing four USCAA teams in two days, as the Pomeroys look to get back to their winning ways.
