OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's volleyball team (3-1) defeated Oakland City University (0-6) last evening three sets to one as they improve to 3-1 on the season. The Pomeroys fought hard but dropped the first set before handling the Mighty Oaks easily in the next three (25-13, 25-17, 25-5) for a convincing win. Mandi Alspach and Alexis Woodburn led the team with 12 kills apiece and Riley Kinney turned in a complete performance with 6 kills, 3 blocks, and 3 service aces.
