Jesse McClung has the Pomeroys off to a 5-0 start in the River States Conference.Â
SMWC has won 10 of its past 11 games against NAIA teams, with an additional loss to NCAA D-I Morehead State. The Pomeroys' past four wins have been strong defensive performances, limiting each opponent to 55 points or fewer.Â
The Pomeroys look to improve to 6-0 in the RSC against IU Kokomo and earn the first win for the program against the Cougars.

The Cougars' boast a balanced offensive attack led by Ty Willis at 16.4 points-per-game.Â
Hunter Jackson (49.1 percent), Noah Harris (45.5 percent), Evan Kretz (39.2 percent) and Dell DeMyers (38.1 percent) lead the 3-point shooting for the Cougars.
JOHNSON HEATING UP
Greg Johnson has scored in double figures in three of the past four games for the Pomeroys, including a season-high 18 points vs. Ohio Christian on Jan. 3. Johnson is averaging 10.5 ppg over the past four. He's made 14-of-14 at the free-throw line in those games and also averaged 2.0 steals.

Junior guard
Greg Jenkins ranks 12th in the NAIA in the nation in steals per game with an average of 2.5 per game. Jenkins had a five -steal performance against the Cumberlands to tie the SMWC single-game school record.
