ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – Fresh off a weekend sweep of Talladega College on the road last week, the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Pomeroys return to the Knoerle Center and Hamilton Arena to host Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Siena Heights (Mich.) on Friday (7 p.m. ET) and Saturday (Noon ET). The two 3-set victories last weekend improved SMWC to an impressive 9-4 on the season, including a 4-1 mark on their home court.

Last weekend, the Pomeroys hit .241 as a team to earn a 25-23, 25-20, 28-26 sweep as
Marko Zolnjan led the way with 11 kills while
Bentley Meyer added eight. In the nightcap, SMWC swung at the net to the tune of a .362 hitting percentage en route to a 26-24, 25-21, 25-19 victory. Zoljhan again reached double figures with 10 kills and also led the team with nine digs. Meyer and Manase Fetelimoeata added nine kills each.
Connor Orrock posted 45 assists over the two-game stretch while
Yammiel Martinez was credited with six blocks in the pair of victories.

Zolijhan leads the Pomeroys with 132 kills on the season while Orrock is the leader in assists with 194.

Siena Heights enters the weekend with an overall record of 5-7 (3-5 WHAC) falling into their last match to Lawrence Tech to snap a two-game winning streak. Freshman Daniel Rua leads the way for the Saints with 136 kills while junior Zak Tucker has added 432 assists, an average of nearly nine per set.

This weekend's matches begin a stretch of 14 league contests over the final 17 of the regular- season leading up to the conference tournament from April 17-20.
