SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's cross country team finished 14th at the Grizzly Invitational on Saturday morning. The event was hosted by Franklin College and was 6K in length.
Overall, SMWC finished in 14th place in the 21 team field. DePauw was the victor in the event.
Quinlan Teague paced the Pomeroys with a 75th place finish in a time of 25:13.48.
Brinlee McCloud finished just outside the Top 100 with a time of 26:20.28.
Mercedes Schemmel finished with a time of 26:59.49 while
Deborah Murphy clocked in with a time of 27:28.48.
Hannah Wright recorded a time of 28:15.96 while Paige Chickadaunce recorded a mark of 28:28.13.Â
Gwen Garman recorded a time of 29:39.54,
Emma Lynch finished in 30:19.75,
Clara Westscott in 30:47.60 and
Katelynn Braun in 32:27.60 rounded out the entrants.
SMWC returns to action on Saturday, September 21 when they head across the Wabash River to Eastern Vigo County to take part in the 2024 John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State University. The event will be held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
